September: Bayanihan Filipino Celebration @ Trout Lake Community Centre – Kathara artists performed at a two-hour event attended by over 150 audience members composed mainly of Filipino families and their Canadian counterparts. Indi-pino (mixed heritage of Indigenous and Pilipino) Kat Norris delivered the welcoming land acknowledgement as well, sang with Kathara the Women’s Warrior Song in honour of all women, especially the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. August Vines Festival – Vines Art Festival is an accessible community-oriented event for artists and the public to deepen their connections to each other on beautiful Coast Salish landscape through environmental and social justice art. Kathara performed center stage with predominantly youth artists who trained under the tutelage of Artistic Director Babette Santos.
July Multicultural Day @ New Westminster – Performed beside the great Fraser river, Kathara delivered a memorable theatrical performance highlighting music and dance of Bagobo Tagabawa and T’boli tribes from Indigenous Southern Philippines on the ocassion of July 1 festivities
